Biblical anti-Obama slogan: Use of Psalm 109:8 funny or sinister? | csmonitor.com
Psalm 109:8
"Let his days be few; and let another take his place of leadership. "
Shouldn't have to clarify which verse of Psalms 109 I quoted it seems pretty straight forward in my eyes... 109:8
Recently I posted on FB, "Pray for Obama. Psalm 109:8". Not intending to offend anyone with a brain, nor was reference made to any of the other 30 verses in Psalms 109! But a few of the so called good folks chose to respond that I'd taken the Psalms out of context.......... give it a rest PEOPLE!!!!
Read the this from the Christian Science Monitor.....

Aged Ice..
The general term "ice age" or, more precisely, "glacial age" denotes a geological period of long-term reduction in the temperature of the Earth's surface and atmosphere, resulting in an expansion of continental ice sheets, polar ice sheets and alpine glaciers. An ice age is a natural system. Within a long-term ice age, individual pulses of extra cold climate are termed "glaciations". Glaciologically, ice age implies the presence of extensive ice sheets in the northern and southern hemispheres;[1] by this definition we are still in an ice age (because the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets still exist).
More colloquially, "the ice age" refers to the most recent colder period that peaked at the Last Glacial Maximum approximately 20,000 years ago, in which extensive ice sheets lay over large parts of the North American and Eurasian continents. This article will use the term ice age in the former, glaciological, sense: glacials for colder periods during ice ages and interglacials for the warmer periods.
The melting of an enormous Antarctic ice sheet 14,000 years ago triggered climatic changes in Europe and North America that ultimately led to the end of the last ice age, according to a new study.
WND HEAT OF THE MOMENT
Study finds CO2 didn't end ice age
Counters major premise of global warming theory
A new peer-reviewed scientific study counters a major premise of global warming theory, concluding carbon dioxide did not end the last ice age
The study, led by University of Southern California geologist Lowell Stott, concluded deep-sea temperatures rose 1,300 years before the rise in atmospheric CO2, which would rule out the greenhouse gas as the main agent of the meltdown.
"There has been this continual reference to the correspondence between CO2 and climate change as reflected in ice core records as justification for the role of CO2 in climate change," said Stott. "You can no longer argue that CO2 alone caused the end of the ice ages."
Where ever you search.... there are pros and cons on Global Warming.. Whatever the case it's happened before... something ended the Ice Age, or "Glacial Age"...
perhaps a natural cycle of the planet...
Consider the age of earth, then consider the time humans have festered upon its surface...... people are expendable!!!!
GLOBAL WARMING isn't a CROCK.... it's happened before... what's a CROCK, are the folks making a profit because of it.... The earth is resilient, she shall, and often does, eliminates large numbers of the infestation crawling the her surface..
The earth will far outlast the parasites........

Saturday morning..
Eye hurts... right one, sort of stings, and waters? Not always, just some times.....and throat is sore, have that achy stuffy feeling. Took some achy, stuffy, whatever, whatever medicine!
Swine flu number continue to rise with 4000 deaths reported... it's estimated 36.000 people die each year from the regular flu each year in the U.S. Age 65 and older are the most susceptible.
Time for a fire to warm the house a bit, as I may not venture far from this chair today feeling as I do at the moment.
Coffee's not doing the trick... time for HOT tea!
I had, had being the key word here, committed myself to a couple of project today, which I hope wouldn't be the end of the world if they don't get done.
Nap time..

3200 lineal feet with a 4" brush..
I've graduated! No longer am I to be... called Toby Toter.... I now answer to Earl Oiler, Stanley Stainer, or maybe even Pete painter.... your choice!
During my Toby Toter days, as you may recall, not that long ago, I wrote about moving a large number of, and lengths of, tongue and groove one by lumber (1"x6") into the garage to acclimate to a warmer temperature. Probably didn't mentions the reason earlier why we move the lumber, but it was, we hoped, to curtail the warping process to as minimal as possible.
Well then.... I think there are 180 pieces of this lumber, neatly stacked in piles of 15. We placed three rows of three saw horsed in rows several feet apart, allowing plenty of work room between them, and then laid 5 boards on each set of horses.
Our thought in the beginning was to use a Hudson Sprayer... ah, a plastic hand pump weed type sprayer most rural folks will know the type.... all others don't bother research the type, it didn't work, sprayed more oil on the floor than on the wood.... time for another course of action.
The new course involved applying the oil on.... inch by inch with a 4" brush. Fortunately, the oil, a wood preservative
Boring..... in the last two days we have brushed over 5000 lineal feet of oil on this damn boards, about 8 gallons. Stacked neatly in dead domino formation on the garage floor to dry..... spontaneous combustion would be disastrous.... ah, fire, not a good event in new construction.
Today finished the oiling, and began the beam laminations with the OSB...

Reagan's Compassion... obama's ego..
June 12th, 1987, in West Berlin at the Brandenburg Gate.
"The advance of human liberty can only strengthen the cause of world peace. There is one sign the Soviets can make that would be unmistakable, that would advance dramatically the cause of freedom and peace. General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace -- if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization -- come here to this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!"
President Reagan 1987 at the Brandenburg Gate
Two years later the Wall fell..... Germany Celebrated today at the Brandenburg Gate and no one mentioned him......
Yet obama mentions himself..
"Even as we celebrate these values, even as we mark this day, we know the work of freedom is never finished. In a Berlin under siege, President Kennedy said, "Freedom is indivisible, and when one man is enslaved, all are not free." Few would have foreseen on that day that a united Germany would be led by a woman from Brandenburg or that their American ally would be led by a man of African descent. But human destiny is what human beings make of it."
Excerpt taken for obama's Berlin Wall taped speech
He's still working on that Nobel Peace Prize.....

Health Care - Berlin Wall
Several news worthy items warrant attention today, first, the mid-night passing of Pelosi's $1 Trillion health care bill, The U.S. House voted 220-215 to approve the measure, narrowly ramming the 2000 page bill down the American people's throat in the cover of darkness.... so much for "We the People"
A recent poll showed the Health care issue was divided nearly down the middle, 41% for, and 41% against, leaving 18% either undecided, or didn't know? Since nearly half of the nations citizens weren't in favor of passage, shouldn't Speaker Pelosi have allowed ample time for full disclosure of the contents of the bill? Ahh, here in lies the reason, the truth.. those liberal idiots don't want the people to know what's in this bill.
Pelosi's bill, the Wall Street Journal has called “the worst piece of post-New Deal legislation ever introduced”?
However, the process is far from becoming law. The Senate will begin work on their version of the bill, probable titled Reidcare....and as Obama hopes for completion by the end of the year, which doesn't seem likely....
........................................................................................
Second, and perhaps should have been the first topic this morning, the "20 Year Anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall"
Our family was host to a young student nearly 10 years ago, who had chosen, against parental judgment to join a Foreign Exchange program for travel to America.
We were once again introduced to the idea of an exchange student from folks Janie knew while teaching at Wilder High School, having hosted a young man from Belgium a few years earlier, the thought wasn't as agreeable to me now because we no longer had children at home. Who would entertain, and bond with this young person? We'd became "Empty Nester's" a few years prior, and again having a teenager in the house felt as foreign to us as to the student.
A group of Boys and Girls arrive to a sponsor living in Wilder, from various different locations around the world, with little or no knowledge of who they would be staying with. Unusual I thought, but discovered the occurrence is quit common. Exchange programs often send sponsors a group of 4 to 6 students hoping host parents can be arranged once they arrive. These sponsors have, as a general rule been participating in exchange programs for years, and have had good success placing students.
We were given the choice of boy or girl... having raised two Sons, we felt compelled to stay with the male gender. Janie brought a number of files home for review, and we decided on a young man from Germany!
Magnus Mersher, 17 years old, dress in all black, walked through our front door in the fall of 2000 with a chip on his shoulder and his hat on backwards!!! The chip took sometime to remove, the hat only a few seconds.
Magnus, arriving from a split family, his parents having divorce quit a few year earlier, live with his Mother and one older Brother in Hanover, Germany. He had a rebellious attitude, the reason for the black shoes, pants, socks, shirt, and the short lived hat. Dark haired, tall and skinny, the black didn't realy produce a threat but it did allow him to convey a statement!
Janie was working at the High School in Wilder, which at the time we felt having Magnus attend there was the best education decision we could make. We were wrong!
The black attire, the attitude, and young Wilder Hispanics didn't co-exist well. Even though he wasn't large, he was tall, and rather pale in comparison, to say the least, which made him stick out like the proverbial "Sore Thumb". It wasn't long until we realize education at Wilder wasn't working out. Having traveled thousands of miles to be enrolled in a small town school didn't do him justice, even though I believe Wilder High School at the time was good place for kids to get an education.... times change! Janie enrolled him at Vallivue.
Magnus, the same troubled young man who had arrive on our door step nearly a year previous attended Graduation Ceremonies for the class of 2001 attaining a diploma of educational excellence from Vallivue High School. Encompassed in those months after his arrival nearly a year previous, his cap was never worn backwards again, nor for that matter was it worn to much extent at all, while the black also disappeared so did the rebellious attitude, he was wearing colors, blue jeans and t-shirts, and he had became the wonderful young man we knew he was. We had become his American parents.
The friendships cultivated that year remain. The bond between us has grown. Magnus returned several year later to visit for a few months. He had grown in age and education, attending a University to further his life choices.
Magnus visited once again, just recently last September, but this time he was accompanied by a girlfriend, Susi!
Susi Funch, a petite young lady with a vibrant smile, and a yearning for better English, who was shy at first and deathly afraid of dogs... Susi is a O.R. nurse, employed with a Berlin hospital. She enjoys the late afternoon shift, and dreams to perhaps, someday marry Magnus.
Susi is the reason you've endured reading the previous, for she spent her early childhood on the Eastern side of the Berlin Wall, She, who I've chosen to include in this writing because it's almost certain I would have never had the pleasure of knowing her had it not been for the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Now you know why We personally Celebrate the fall of that wall, and We should all celebrate a re-united German, its been 20 years in the making, and a few good things have come from it.
One last thing, Magnus did ask Susi to marry him while they were in America, she said YES!

Toby toter..
ok, enough is enough, I mean I'm not getting any younger for crap sakes. The last few months it seem all we've done it tote heavy shit... 20' 4x10's for starters, then 16' 4x8's. Dozens of them, no really about 60 of the damn heavy beams. Toby toten time!!!
A few days ago we moved several hundred 16' 1x6's, which one at a time would taken all day to move, but stack 6 or 8 and things start to get heavy in a hurry. Toby toten time!!!
And today... 26 4x8' sheets of 3/4" OSB T&G. Didn't move them very far... TG!!!, but far enough. Toby toten again!!!
Listening to Boizeee state football as I write this...... Louisiana is knocking at the door big time... just 2 points at this point! 30-28. I'm listening to the BSU game because I don't have ESPN..... by the way they SUCK!!! Sounds as if this game is one one should be watching on the tube.... damn! Touchdown Boise State! 38-28!
Off the subject a moment during commercial break... between Caldwell and Nampa along the BLVD off a right hand side road is a business which sells CRAP! Literally! They sell CRAP and they advertise the fact on the roof of their building, a large sign proudly displaying the letters C R A P no lie, true story. I love truth in advertising... some times some things are just cool!
45-28 the games not over, but I'm gone.

Fort Hood..
A little info from NPR on the shooting at Fort Hood
Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan shouted "Allahu Akbar!" The comment is Arabic for "God is great!"
Hasan was shot four times, by a female civilian officer who was herself shot and wounded in the melee.
Not to make light of this tragic situation but where the hell is the Melee on the body, above or below the meknee? (sorry couldn't help myself, ok, By definition a melee is, a noisy riotous fight, not sure that's an accurate description of the situation).
Suffice to say, he survived, while his actions took the lives 13 people and wounded 30 others.
A tragedy for many folks and their families, including Hasan's. It's sickening to think how quickly one's life can be disrupted or ended.......... Some times.. we never know!!
Obama expressed his sympathy, and of course promised a full investigation... the situation just got worse..

Tinky Tom....
Having recently read a post, I won't recall from where, but an unusual one regarding a question from a odd named fellow, 'Tinky Tom'.... about dead tomatoes. His question was directed to 'Ask Katy' who apparently has become an on line Internet wanna-be Dear Abby, possibly cyberspaces version of 'Ask Alice' from Mike and Kate in the morning radio program.
Poor sap hasn't figured out Global Warming is a hoax, or that in Idaho nothing grows year round except state spending! What a dope.
Katy's answer was, as always enlightening, a bit provocative, and maybe, just maybe a little harsh. I don't think he was a religious zealot, but there may be some truth in the marinara tag. I didn't get the feeling he was the religious sort, just that he was home, but the light wasn't on,.... for Gods sake his name was Tinky Tom..... enough!

Hells bells folks..
On the political scene, it seems the folks of Canyon County, along with those in other counties in Idaho don't care for new jails. A much need facility proposed during a not-so good economy.. Good deal for criminals, bad deal for the public.. well perhaps next time!
For the record I believe the ACLU needs to buzz off, to put it mildly, thought criminals lost a few of their rights after committing crimes against society...
The mayor of Bugtown continues his reign... as does Nampa's previous city father. Caldwell folks, I suspect weren't ready for more "Change", and promises made by winning candidates after elected... well, often never come to be, talk isn't cheap in politics, but it's still talk, hmmm, and maybe not so ready for kid right out of diapers.. Helmut, give it shot again in a few years!!
Later then..

Tough one today.. ya think? Fencing with an old lady... well, not so much, how about repairing a fence for an old lady, nice butt.... oh, not the old lady, some hot thing of the tube... NCIS LA.
Ok, the fencing.. just replacing old cedar with new, no biggy... one g or two? Biggie, hmm two g's and no y, who knew!!
On a good note, he finally wrote the check for my remainder of Septembers wages, on the 3 or November, nice to get paid in a timely manner..

The nights closing in..
perhaps it's the.... wine. Perhaps.. possibly my attitude. Perhaps, perhaps, ah....
nope, just the slowness of the evening. Ok, maybe a few sips of wine played into the evenings condition, but not the ending results, I mean shucks I can still walk!!!!
Great evening... cooked Marsala pork, rice, and fried green tomato's... Just posted to FB, something about "Damn I'm GOOD" must be the wine....!!!

Damn medication..
Ordered on 10/10, received word this morning the meds won't arrive until 16/11. The first order always takes the longest, but I had no idea it would be that long. Time to call Doc in hopes she might pass out a few more samples. Called, she wasn't in, will call back!
Waiting for her to call now.... waiting!
Still waiting!

Hectic weekend..
A fitting way to end a hectic weekend... dinner a Friday's! An invitation by Brother-in-law Dave, his treat! Well hell. I'm not passing up a free meal since it seems all I've done this weekend was cook.... I'm not complaining mind you, just relieved at the thought someone else would be fixing dinner tonight.
Kicked back now filtering the sounds between easy listening music and the remaining weekend herders hashing over the last few days events... the music seems to have the edge...

Cooking for 4+++
Day two of GSH trial.... winds blowing a little, with a layer of low clouds overhead, but no fog this morning. Can't say what the temperature is, haven't been outside, so observations I've done have been from glancing out the window.
Chicken noodle soup for lunch, and prime rib for supper. Haven't used that term since I was a kid.. breakfast, dinner and supper, grew up on a farm. Most folks now refer dinner to lunch, supper to dinner... anyway the judge of the day used the term, she's a nice folks sort, my kind of people.
Today a large pot of chili to warm those herding hearts...
Most of my work is complete.
